June 23rd Classical Releases 2017

ORA’s third album for harmonia mundi is subtitled ‘Renaissance gems and their reflections Volume 2: Tallis’ and includes premieres by Steven Stucky, Frank Ferko, Ken Burton, Alec Roth, Harry Escott, Kerry Andrew and Bob Chilcott.

June 16th Classical Releases 2017

The Sacconi Quartet celebrated their 15th anniversary with this new commission from Jonathan Dove. ‘In Damascus’ picked up excellent reviews following its London premiere, with The Guardian awarding the concert five stars and praising Mark Padmore for his “immaculate artistry”.

Riccardo Muti has championed the symphonies of Bruckner throughout his career and has led the CSO in performances of Symphonies 1,2,6 and 7 as part of an ongoing survey of Bruckner’s symphonies with the Orchestra.

This new release marks Muti’s first-ever recording of Symphony No. 9.

June 9th Classical Releases 2017

The Heath Quartet’s debut release of the complete Tippett quartets was released
to unanimous acclaim on the Wigmore Live label, winning the Gramophone Chamber Award 2016.

This is the Heath Quartet’s 2nd recording for harmonia mundi, following Tchaikovsky Quartets 1 & 3, a Disk of the Week for both The Sunday Times and BBC Radio 3.
